Policy Briefs

Chicago Appleseed Policy Briefs are research and advocacy papers that explore current trends in public policy. Policy Briefs investigate policy innovations being implemented in other urban jurisdictions and consider how they might work in Chicago, Cook County, and/or Illinois. Alternatively, they consider current Cook County practices that have raised concerns. Policy briefs may also attempt to answer a policy question of interest to current policy makers. Evidence considered may include social science research, interviews with practitioners in other cities, think tank reports, and interviews with Cook County stakeholders.
