Annual Luncheon
Thank you so much for helping make our annual luncheon a success! Your support of the Collaboration for Justice means we can continue our vital work in the criminal courts, the immigration courts, and the family courts. Our donors and our members make it possible and we enjoy having the opportunity to see some of you in person and discuss our work.
The story of the Access to Community Treatment Court is a great example of how collaboration creates innovation and the stories from the court participants moved everyone in the room. It’s a great reminder of how reformed court processes directly impact lives and how problem-solving courts not only help individual defendants, but also improve the communities where the defendants live. As Peter Coolsen said in his remarks about the history of the program: “Persistence and community are critical for criminal justice reform.”
We also honored Miner Barnhill & Galland for the public service of the law firm. The firm is a model of how a law firm can prosper while serving as an advocate for the public interest.
Just like last year, the luncheon kicks off our annual end of the year campaign. Once again we have an anonymous donor who has pledged to match all end of the year contributions up to $40,000. You can donate via the web, or mail in the reply card to CAFFJ, 750 N Lake Shore Drive, 4th Floor, Chicago, IL 60611.
