2014 Judicial Primary Evaluations Now Available!
The Chicago Council of Lawyers presents its evaluations and Chicago Appleseed presents VoteForJudges.org, the nonpartisan judicial evaluation and judicial information website.
In Illinois, judges are elected. People will be voting for judicial candidates on March 18, 2014. Each of these candidates is running to fill a judicial vacancy. By voting for qualified judges, you can help protect our courts. Please remember that judges make decisions that affect our entire society as well as your well-being. Each judge makes tens of thousands of decisions that can affect nearly everyone. By protecting our courts, you are protecting yourself, your family, and your friends.
Chicago Council of Lawyers and Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice provide two ways for voters to get educated about judicial elections.
Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice provides VoteForJudges.org as a nonpartisan voter education website where voters can get information about candidates running to fill judicial vacancies in the Primary and on judges seeking retention on the November ballot.
On VoteForJudges.org you will find posted available judicial evaluations from the bar associations and from the media. You will also find information about judicial elections.
